Bingham Farms, MI (April 20, 2010) – Anesthesia Staffing Consultants, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jennifer Quicci, CRNA, MS, has been appointed to represent the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) on the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF) board of directors. In her new role, she will be responsible for accreditation of standards for anesthesia surgery centers nationwide.

 

AAAASF conducts and accreditation program for ambulatory surgery facilities and other facilities that administer sedation or general anesthesia, including plastic surgery facilities, endoscopy clinics, pain management centers and women’s health facilities.

 

“I am honored to represent the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists on such a prestigious board, and look forward to promoting quality patient safety across the country,” said Quicci. “My goal is to represent CRNAs in advancing knowledge of nurse anesthesia practice, qualifications, and abilities in the market of ambulatory surgery centers.”

 

Quicci will serve three one-year consecutive terms on the AAAASF board of directors. She received a bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Michigan, and master’s in science from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She has served as president of the Michigan Association of Nurse Anesthetists (MANA) for 2002-2004, and currently resides as chair for MANA-PAC. She is also a current member of the MANA Government Relations Committee and Finance Committee.
